Social Media Collections

Social media evidence is new and rapidly emerging for digital forensics. The trail of data on social media, if explored correctly, can offer remarkable support cases. However, exploring social media for potential evidence and presenting in court is not an easy task. Additionally, social media evidence must be collected by a legal and scientifically appropriate forensics process. Further, most social media collections can be done remotely.

Our forensics experts collect over 50 types of social media including:

Facebook

Tumblr

Snapchat

Social Media by Subject

By providing us with some information about a subject, we can identify email addresses, address history, and work history. As well as, social media profiles, aliases profiles, pictures, and social media posts.

Social Media by Location

By providing a location and a radius, we are able to provide a listing of individuals within the area. After we find the data, we provide you with reports regarding the people at the location. Therefore, we can find and identify witnesses to an event.

Social Media by Juror

In addition, we attend jury selection and identify the social media accounts of the jurors. We review the accounts during jury selection, so we can identify bias, racism, and hate speech. We merge that information with a full background check to identify key factors that influence jury selection.

Social Media for Insurers

We can monitor a social media profile for 30, 45, 60 days or longer using court approved collection software. Through this software, we can record daily transactions, such as posts and media. For example, this critical data can be used to prove an insured is cheating on a claim. We can also provide social data on friends of the subject if needed. In that instance, we can provide updates in a full social media report on any subject, at any time or at regular intervals, e.g. weekly or monthly.
