December 17, 2014Forensic Computer Expert to Present Report to Iroquois County Board Next Week
February 10, 2015WATSEKA — The Iroquois County Board last week approved spending up to $5,650 to have a forensic expert examine 18 computers used by ex-employees of the Ford-Iroquois Public Health Department.
Those 18 computers are in addition to five that were already examined, free of charge to the county, for evidence of misuse and fraud.
But the board’s chairman, Kyle Anderson of Beaverville, said computer forensic expert Andrew Garrett of Decatur-based Garrett Discovery Inc. will also do a complete forensic report on those five computers, too, as part of the $5,650 fee.
Garrett began the forensic audits of all 23 computers last weekend, as the next step in preparation for possibly asking State’s Attorney Jim Devine to prosecute some former health department employees.
